- Sports reporter and current law student Diane Hill sits down with
JimmyDreamz for a few quick questions about working for MAXIM, sports,
and her beloved Eagles. You can check our her work at the Maxim
web site and her personal
site.
Q:
Where did you watch the Super Bowl and what were your thoughts after
it was over?
A: I was in Jacksonville for "Maximony" Maxim's 2005
Superbowl party and then I flew back to Los Angeles and watched
it in a sports bar. Wearing a McNabb jersey, I watched my hometown
boys choke again. I thought McNabb quit in the third quarter but
was really impressed with how much heart T.O had. McNabb still hasn't
quite figured out how to close the deal.
Q: What do you
expect from the Eagles next season?
A: I think they will be NFC Champions again and go to the Superbowl
and win. (Of course I am biased, but I say that every year.)
Q: You’re
a sports reporter for MAXIM, that job must have some good perks?
A: I guess it depends what you consider perks...it beats digging
ditches.
Q: What do you
think of the female sports reporters at ESPN, such as Linda Cohn,
Suzy Kolber, Erin Andrews, etc?
A:I think they are amazing. Linda Cohn is actually one of my favorite
anchors.
Q:
Do you remember when Suzy Kolber interviewed a drunken Joe Namath?
How would you have handled that situation?
A: I thought she handled it like a professional. It was really
hysterical and she didn't skip a beat I'd like to see a guy handle
that situation. Imagine if Stuart Scott got accosted by a drunken
Paris Hilton?
Q: When you’re
away from the sporting world, what do you do for fun?
A: I'm in Law School, so I really don't have free time...fun is
sleep right now.
Q: What’s
the first thing that comes to mind when you hear the name Jimmy
Buffett?
A: Parrot heads in Margaritaville eating Cheeseburgers in Paradise.
Q: Have you ever
been to a Jimmy Buffett concert? Would you wear a coconut bra?
A: No, and not unless I was stranded on a deserted island.
Q: When Jimmy
Buffett comes to Philadelphia later this year, where is the best
place to get a Philly Cheese Steak?
A: Jim's on South Street. Get a Cheesesteak Hoagie.
Q: Final question,
which is more of a sport.....golf or NASCAR?
A: Both are more like skills to me...like chess. Although I hosted
a show for MAXIM with Indy Driver Dario Franchitti and he took me
around the track at the California Speedway in a Lambourghini. We
went about 110mph and I developed a brand new respect for any driver.
So I'd go with Nascar.
Thanks for joining us Diane, good luck!
